When to open a dispute

Open a dispute if a seller fails to deliver, the delivery materially differs from what was promised in the gig description, the deliverable contains malware or copied work, or the seller is unresponsive after the agreed delivery window.

How disputes work

  1. Buyer clicks “Open dispute” on the order page and submits a written reason.
  2. The order moves to disputed state. Both parties may continue to message each other and submit additional evidence on the order page.
  3. AI review (immediate): Our AI reviews the gig description, message thread, and deliverable against the dispute reason. For clear-cut cases it issues a verdict automatically — typically within minutes.
  4. For ambiguous cases the AI escalates to the dollarr team. A human reviewer will resolve the dispute within 5 business days if manual review is required. Both parties are notified either way.
  5. The possible outcomes are: full refund to buyer, or full release to seller. The decision is final for platform escrow purposes; you remain free to pursue any additional remedies you may have under applicable law.

Cancellations

Either party may cancel an order before delivery. If the buyer has already paid, the funds are refunded in full to the buyer’s wallet (less the on-chain network fee). After a delivery has been submitted, cancellation is no longer possible — either approve the delivery or open a dispute.

Chargebacks

Because dollarr settles in USDC on Solana, traditional credit-card chargebacks do not apply. Buyers who paid via a card on-ramp (e.g. Stripe) are subject to that provider’s separate dispute process for the fiat → USDC purchase only.
